In order to keep a group of 14,000+ Vetpreneurs engaged and productive, we must be mindful of how we interact with one another and how it affects our business. The Tribe is not a marketing, recruiting, or sale portal, it is a community. Treat it as such.
The mission of the Vetpreneur Tribe FB Group is to:
- Network with Military Veteran Entrepreneurs.
- Gain knowledge and resources to dominate your industry.
- Boost your online reach to potential customers.
Before we cover how that is achieved, let’s cover what is NOT allowed. Breaking these guidelines will lead to post/comment deletion or being blocked/banned forever (most of the times without warning).
No links in posts
FB controls who sees and doesn’t see your posts. If you place a link in your post, FB’s algorithm will penalize your reach and less members of the Tribe will be able to engage with your post. To get around this, post all links in the comments of you post.
No Introduction Posts
We are too large to have 14,000+ members randomly introducing themselves to each other. You will have plenty of opportunities to get to know each other. We have structured posts to encourage networking without spamming.
No spam or self promotion
Posting links to your products and services is not only annoying, it’s a waste of time. We are not your customers, we are busy growing our businesses, and if you interrupt us with a stream of self promotion post, you will annoy everyone and show that you are struggling as a business. Just don’t.
No shady tactics or blue falcons
Be upfront with who you are, what company you work for or own, and what you are offering. Comment for more info, blind recruitment, and “I’m making $10k a month with no sales” type posts that are not clear on what you are offering will lead to post/comment deletion or being blocked/banned forever.
Also, only offer advice, services, or products you can deliver on. While we are all adults and should be able to request websites, reviews, or proof of your offerings, if you are offering wannabee guru opinions, taking money and not being able to perform, or jeopardize someone’s business or livelihood it will lead to post/comment deletion or being blocked/banned forever.
No like for like
We do not promote “like for like” to your social media accounts for very good reason. You have to pay to get an important post in front of your followers; as social media companies share your posts to less that 5% of your followers. Which means, in paying to reach your actual customers, you end up paying extra to get past all of the people who liked my page as a “personal favor”.
Furthermore, when creating a marketing campaign for your business, and your fan base has been doctored, it’s very difficult to narrow your focus and build a customer avatar.
If you’re looking to boost your numbers, grow your followers organically by offering value via insightful comments and posts.
No drama or rants
There are plenty of FB groups where you can post negativity, about your personal life, and opinions on irrelevant things. This is not the place. We are joining forces as entrepreneurs to network, dominate our industries, and cross-promote.
If it doesn’t relate to business, it doesn’t belong here. This isn’t an emotional support group, this is a Veteran Entrepreneur support group.
As you can see, nothing being asked of you is unreasonable and is solely geared toward providing the best environment to focus on the mission of networking with Military Veteran Entrepreneurs, gaining knowledge and resources to dominate your industry, and boosting your online reach to potential customers.
Focusing on the Mission
We have found that being laser focused and militant in our structure is the key to accomplishing our mission; especially with a group of 14,000+ Vetpreneurs. That being said, we have created the following system to keep us on target.
